The Valley Bar Seadogs was a concept thought up by current Club Away Day Co-ordinator Chris Pilmer in the latter stages of the 2018-19 season. His vision was a travel club that not only could be financially sustainable, but would alleviate the pressures of dealing with the travel, and associated costs from the Board Of Directors of the Football Club.

From that idea, The Valley Bar Seadogs were born on the 4th July 2019 at Scarborough Athletic F.C's family open day. And from then it has grown to a membership numbered in the hundreds.

​

The main focus of the travel club is on the fans of Scarborough Athletic, and how the travel club can provide a service to them. Although the travel club work closely with the directors of Scarborough Athletic, it is actually a completely stand alone venture, allowing it to be in a unique position of being able to build up its own business partnerships without the constraints of sponsorship restricting its marketplace.

The Valley Bar Seadogs Members Discount Scheme was created from fan feedback within weeks of the travel club forming. It has now grown to dozens of local businesses and services that provide a generous discount to the travel club members, making it difficult NOT to get your membership money back throughout the season. The travel club is always looking to add new businesses so keep an eye on any updates from the Members discount Scheme section of this website.

The Committee of the Valley bar seadogs is made up of 9 volunteers, consisting of a Chairman, position currently occupied by Liam Watson. A Secretary, currently Paul Adamson, a Treasurer, currently Fiona White, An away day co-ordinator, currently Chris Plmer, The social media manager Ant Taylor and a committee member for events and functions, Tracy Fordyce. As well as 4 voting members who are responsible for holding the Chairman, treasurer and secretary to account, projecting ideas and proposals at committee meetings and helping with the running of the travel club.
